My thoughts haven't changed from what I thought about Desperados III: The game is fantastic, but it doesn't feel like Desperados at all, more like Shadow Tactics in the West. In fact, after the iteration of Desperados: WDOA, that idea got reinforced again: it's so damn satisfying to just shoot an entire map down to roll corners, take quick actions to shoot multiple enemies at the same time, etc. And that is made by the fact better that the AI is designed to counteract this: there are no "alarm zones", enemies can run around the entire map, calling for help, sending subordinates to check points, etc. The AI feels, although primitive (this game is from from 2001), much more real than in Desperados III. Yes, you can still take advantage of it if you know enough, but its reactions and behaviors are so much more diverse and less predictable than in DIII. Just to give a quick example:usps tracking

What if you kill an enemy and hide his body without being noticed, but then an enemy shows up and notices that the guy is missing:

In Desperados: WDOA: The enemy runs around in different directions covering a small area or can encompass the entire map ... or he can even shoot in the air to call for help and gather multiple men in a single place to give them directions and they start searching the place.

In Desperados III: Even with the smartest enemies on the toughest difficulty levels, they look around a bit and then just say, "meh, he gotta shit" and go back to their business. https://trackeasy.fun/usps/

Another flaw for DIII compared to DI, as I mentioned earlier, is that it feels more like Shadow Tactics than Desperados. In most maps, sneaking is practically mandatory. There is no way to shoot down the entire scenario as the number of bullets is limited. And even if we admit that technically you shouldn't have infinite bullets, having to reload with a revolver is completely idiotic. I agree that Hector has to reload his shotgun after a shot, but Cooper? Why? This in Shadow Tactics made a lot of sense as guns weren't as available at the time and they were far more rudimentary than they were in 1800.
